Saraswati Foundation is a non-profit NGO. We’re a charitable organization that specializes in the education and empowerment of less-privileged children, youth and women through working with them at an individual level. Our nationally-recognized programs include schools, remedial education, computer training, adult literacy, skills training, microfinance and social entrepreneurship Art & Culture, Eco tourism, Environment and natural resource management, Health & Nutrition, HIV/AIDS, Labour & Employment, Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation, Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation, etc.

The Saraswati Foundation operates with the single-minded focus of empowering rural India. Our vision is rural empowerment through best practices, modern technology and values.

Founded in 2015 by Mr. Vijay Kumar Saini, it began with her teaching a class of Fifteen Students in her home on the campus of Neo Global College, Behror. Saraswati Foundation now offers programs in five major cities across India, in some of the poorest neighborhoods of Rajasthan, Haryana, and Jharkhand. Our team of about 150 people includes local and volunteers, teachers and staff and a large circle of committed friends, donors and well-wishers. Saraswati Foundation has made a difference in the lives of more than 1,000 families over 29 years, over 600 women have been empowered to earn their own living, and more than 1,000 people across 5 rehabilitated slums in Rajasthan, Haryana and Jharkhand have benefited from our programs. 

Sustainable development in the project shall be emphasized by :

  • Empowering communities through community mobilization.
  • Better opportunities for livelihood improvement.
  • Developing village based institutions.
  • Wider dissemination of lessons learnt and traditional technologies.
  • Experiences sharing workshops with different stakeholders.
  • To generate income of poor rural people by their traditional works like the field of Agriculture / Animal / husbandry / Forest produce value addition etc. 

Educating and empowering the less privileged through integrated methods and initiating and implementing progressive social change.

We want to see an India where every child gets an education, every youth an opportunity to succeed, and every woman the right to equality.
